Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Accurately scan and record incoming and outgoing stock to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Safety Compliance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and company policies.
- Order Fulfillment: Prepare pallets for shipping, ensuring proper labeling and securing of goods to prevent damage.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free workspace to ensure efficient workflow and safety.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues with forklifts or warehouse machinery immediately to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, and navigate various warehouse environments.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and maintaining safety records.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required.
