Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility.
- Inventory Management: Verify counts against packing slips and warehouse management systems to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Material Handling: Utilize pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies to transport goods to designated storage areas or shipping docks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, including wearing proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and reporting any equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, organizing pallets, and removing debris.
- Documentation: Complete daily log sheets and equipment checks as required by management.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy regarding inventory counts and load securing.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
- Background Check: Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
