Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in compliance with OSHA standards
- Perform daily forklift inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance
- Manage inventory accuracy through systematic stock rotation and cycle counting
- Maintain clean, organized warehouse spaces to maximize operational efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet daily shipping/receiving goals
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and report equipment issues promptly
- Assist in training new warehouse staff on forklift operations
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year experience operating sit-down forklifts in warehouse settings
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
