Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and powered industrial vehicles to move, stack, and retrieve materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload merchandise from trucks, trailers, and railcars efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain inventory records and ensure stock levels are accurate using warehouse management systems.
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and company policies at all times to prevent accidents.
- Inspect equipment daily for wear and tear, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Keep the work area organized and clean to ensure a safe and efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity goals and shipping deadlines.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) required.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and ticket verification.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to protocols.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
