Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials throughout the facility.
- Load and Unload Freight: Accurately load and unload shipments from trucks and trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo.
- Inventory Management: Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate records of stock movement using warehouse management systems.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free working environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in proper working condition and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to streamline operations and meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Previous experience operating sit-down and reach forklifts is required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required for warehouse driving duties.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and performing safety checks.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
