Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate industrial forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Cargo Security: Ensure all cargo is properly secured and organized to prevent damage or injury during transit.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and stock levels within the warehouse.
- Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklift equipment to ensure it is in optimal working condition.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse aisles clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Team Support: Collaborate with the wider logistics team to meet daily throughput targets and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is mandatory.
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics facility.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy when handling inventory.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends or evenings if required.
