Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to load, unload, and move stock.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, accurately count stock, and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols. Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Ensure proper labeling and placement of products to optimize retrieval times.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping in a timely manner to meet delivery deadlines.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience operating forklifts in a professional warehouse setting.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. Good hand-eye coordination and balance.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counting and order picking to minimize errors.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand written instructions and communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by business needs.
