Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely to move, load, and unload materials in warehouse and dock environments
- Inspect and perform routine maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure operational safety
- Maintain accurate inventory records and support warehouse organization protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize loading/unloading efficiency
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and company operational procedures
- Support inventory audits and cycle counts as required
- Document daily activities and report equipment malfunctions promptly
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 1 year experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Basic math skills for inventory and weight verification
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends for overtime shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license preferred
