Your Role:
As a Forklift Operator, you will be the backbone of our daily operations, ensuring that inventory is handled with precision and care. You will work closely with our logistics team to maintain efficient workflow and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, locate, and stack materials throughout the facility.
- Load & Unload: Load and unload trailers, pallets, and crates, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads for transport.
- Inventory Management: Assist in cycle counts and inventory checks, ensuring stock levels match records accurately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, mopping, and organizing the warehouse floor.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant).
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing or material handling is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory handling.
- Communication: Basic ability to read and understand safety labels, operating manuals, and work orders.
- Availability: Must be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
