Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate inventory counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols.
- Perform daily pre-shift equipment inspections to ensure machinery is in proper working condition.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to streamline the shipping and receiving process and meet daily targets.
- Follow proper lifting techniques and safety procedures to prevent workplace accidents.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management immediately.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid and current forklift certification (OSHA compliant).
- Previous experience operating counterbalance and reach forklifts is preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic math skills for inventory scanning and weight calculations.
- Physically capable of standing for long periods, bending, and lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
