At Apex Distribution Center, we pride ourselves on efficiency and safety. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, ensuring that inventory is managed accurately and shipments are processed on time.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently.
- Inspect forklifts for any mechanical issues before starting a shift and report any problems to management immediately.
- Organize and stock inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper labeling and placement.
- Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
- Perform regular quality checks on products to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (CDL Class B is a plus but not required).
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull items weighing up to 50-70 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic computer literacy, including the ability to use handheld scanners or warehouse management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
