Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to transport goods throughout warehouse facilities
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and compliance with OSHA standards
- Manage inventory counts and documentation with precision using warehouse management systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize loading/unloading processes and dock schedules
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper stacking, weight distribution, and hazard communication
- Assist in maintaining clean, organized work areas and efficient traffic flow
- Support physical inventory audits and cycle count initiatives
- Participate in emergency response drills and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse forklift operation experience in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency in operating sit-down/stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory management software
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability for evening/weekend shifts
- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset
