Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Direct and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Team Management: Mentor and supervise a small team of warehouse associates, conducting shift briefings, assigning tasks, and providing constructive feedback to maximize productivity.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA safety standards and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and investigate discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in workflows and implement creative solutions to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and proper usage of warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Skills: Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic computer skills (MS Office Suite).
- Certifications: Valid forklift certification (class A or B) is required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
