Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning frameworks for next-gen AI applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of quantum physicists, ML engineers, and domain experts
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures with 1000+ qubit scalability
- Create proprietary quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Establish industry benchmarks for quantum-AI hybrid system performance
- Secure $10M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and NISQ hardware
- Proven track record of leading quantum AI projects with measurable impact
- Deep understanding of tensor networks, quantum annealing, and topological quantum computing
- Strong background in distributed computing architectures (Kubernetes, Spark)
- Experience securing federal research funding and managing academic-industry partnerships
