Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum-AI hybrid algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Publish 2+ high-impact papers annually in top-tier journals/conferences
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants from NSF/DARPA/industry partners
- Develop ethical frameworks for quantum-AI deployment in regulated sectors
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor interfaces
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, or Computational Physics
- 5+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent venues
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum machine learning
- Strong background in cryptography and information theory
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants
- Experience mentoring research scientists in quantum field
