Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for AI model optimization and training acceleration
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing hybrid quantum-classical computing architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals/conferences on quantum-AI synergies
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processors for AI workloads
- Develop ethical frameworks for quantum-AI deployment in sensitive industries
- Secure $5M+ in research funding through NSF/DARPA/industry partnerships
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive patent development for quantum-AI innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry R&D
- Published research in quantum machine learning or quantum algorithms (Nature/Science/IEEE papers)
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane) and AI frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Proven track record of leading technical teams and securing government/industry research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing principles
- Experience with quantum hardware providers (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ) or major cloud quantum services
- Strong background in high-performance computing and distributed systems
