Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with quantum hardware engineers to optimize algorithm performance on real quantum processors
- Implement error mitigation techniques to enhance algorithm reliability in NISQ-era systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical workflows for practical industrial applications
- Contribute to open-source quantum software libraries and frameworks
- Lead research initiatives in quantum complexity theory and algorithmic innovation
- Publish findings in top-tier quantum computing journals and conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Computer Science, Physics, or related field (MS with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years of experience designing quantum algorithms or quantum software development
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and classical languages (Python, C++)
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory, quantum gates, and circuit optimization
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum software development preferred
