Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with quantum hardware engineers to translate algorithms into practical implementations
- Lead research initiatives to advance quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Develop performance benchmarks and optimization strategies for quantum circuits
- Author technical documentation and present findings to executive stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to open-source quantum computing projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's with exceptional experience considered)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Expertise in algorithm design and optimization for classical/quantum hybrid systems
- Publication record in quantum computing or related peer-reviewed journals
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical solutions
