Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and pharmaceuticals
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers on quantum hardware integration
- Secure SBIR grants and publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics/Science
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives within the organization
- Partner with MIT and Stanford on quantum supremacy benchmarking projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum algorithms or quantum error correction protocols
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding (DARPA/NSF)
- Expertise in machine learning for quantum system optimization
