Responsibilities
- Architect quantum computing systems with fault-tolerant qubit configurations
- Design hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead prototyping of quantum hardware components at cryogenic temperatures
- Develop error correction protocols for 1000+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum acceleration into machine learning pipelines
- Secure patents for novel quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computer science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing architecture
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in superconducting qubit manipulation
- Experience securing DoD or NSF quantum research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation strategies
