Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Collaborate with security teams to create quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Lead integration of quantum processors with classical HPC infrastructure
- Conduct performance benchmarking and error mitigation research
- Present architectural blueprints to CTOs and venture partners
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum circuit design principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum algorithms or quantum error correction codes
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary R&D initiatives
