Responsibilities
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum processors and hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Develop error correction protocols for >1000-qubit quantum networks
- Design quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Secure patents for breakthrough quantum methodologies
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security standards
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum hardware (superconducting/ion trap systems)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Published research in Nature/Science/IEEE journals
- Security clearance or ability to obtain (for government projects)
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and RF control systems
