Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures targeting 1000+ qubit systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead quantum error correction protocol implementation and testing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical control systems
- Research and implement novel quantum algorithms with near-term applications
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and publish research in peer-reviewed journals
- Drive patent development for quantum computing methodologies and systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion trap technologies
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into scalable engineering solutions
- Strong background in high-performance computing and parallel programming
- Track record of leading cross-functional technical teams through complex projects
