Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological quantum systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for complex optimization problems in finance and logistics
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and decoherence mitigation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical computing infrastructure
- Author technical white papers and patents for novel quantum computing methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation through cross-functional hackathons
- Establish industry partnerships with quantum hardware manufacturers and cloud providers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of industry experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil) and simulation frameworks
- Proficiency with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Strong background in high-performance computing and parallel processing architectures
- Demonstrated experience leading complex R&D projects with measurable outcomes
- Excellent written communication skills with ability to translate complex concepts for diverse stakeholders
