Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead experiments on 50+ qubit quantum processors to optimize error correction protocols
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning models
- Author research papers for Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive open-source quantum computing initiatives
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry grants for quantum innovation projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit design and QIS frameworks
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Qiskit)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing research journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE/DARPA preferred)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
