Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical 2026 applications in cryptography and optimization
- Collaborate with hardware teams to design next-generation quantum processors
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Manage cross-functional teams of physicists, mathematicians, and software engineers
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Develop quantum-safe cybersecurity frameworks for Fortune 500 clients
- Establish industry partnerships with quantum hardware manufacturers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published record in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Experience managing research teams and securing government grants
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Proven ability to translate theoretical concepts into commercial applications
