Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in machine learning
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in quantum system development
- Publish groundbreaking research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private sector partners
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity protocols for 2026 infrastructure
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with error correction
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 5+ years experience in quantum algorithm development or quantum hardware
