Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Architect scalable quantum hardware architectures with error correction capabilities
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and partnerships with national labs
- Publish top-tier research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive quantum literacy across engineering teams
- Translate quantum advantage frameworks into commercial IP portfolios
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computational Science with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Demonstrated success securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Expertise in cryogenic systems and superconducting qubit manipulation
- Experience scaling quantum solutions beyond 100-qubit thresholds
- Strong background in quantum machine learning applications
