Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for optimization and cryptography applications
- Design error-correction frameworks to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams on quantum processor architecture improvements
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
- Develop roadmap for quantum advantage in 2026 commercial applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research with 20+ publications
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance protocols
- Proven experience securing federal research grants
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation tools
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-disciplinary quantum projects
- Patents in quantum computing or related technologies preferred
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems a plus
