Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for real-world applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Lead a team of 8-10 researchers in prototyping quantum error correction systems
- Develop strategic roadmaps for quantum computing integration into commercial platforms
- Secure $2M+ in government grants and industry partnerships for 2026 initiatives
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor junior scientists and foster cross-functional collaboration with AI/ML teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and circuit optimization
- Experience managing R&D teams and securing federal research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in cryptography or machine learning quantum applications
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contract work
