Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography and optimization applications
- Design and implement error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Direct cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Secure $10M+ in government and private research funding
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with NASA, IBM, and MIT on quantum-hybrid computing projects
- Drive commercialization of quantum technologies through patent development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Proven track record of securing research grants and publications
- Strong knowledge of quantum machine learning and simulation algorithms
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ researchers
- Familiarity with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for diverse stakeholders
