Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm research for practical commercial applications
- Lead a team of quantum physicists and software engineers in developing error-correction protocols
- Collaborate with AI division to integrate quantum computing into machine learning pipelines
- Publish research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Develop quantum security frameworks for blockchain and cryptography systems
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research funding
- Establish partnerships with quantum hardware manufacturers and cloud providers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE, QAOA)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Experience securing government research grants (NSF, DARPA, DOE)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in cryptography or machine learning preferred
