Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum computing research roadmaps aligned with 2026 technological inflection points
- Lead development of quantum-resistant encryption protocols for next-gen security systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum error correction and qubit stability
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum algorithms and quantum machine learning
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into commercial IP portfolios
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 5+ years industry research
- Published 10+ papers in quantum algorithm design or quantum error correction
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Experience securing NSF/DARPA grants or equivalent funding mechanisms
- Proven track record leading quantum hardware-software co-design projects
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy thresholds and NISQ-era constraints
- Strong background in cryptography or computational complexity theory
