Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for error correction and optimization
- Lead experimental validation of qubit stability in superconducting systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop scalable quantum architectures
- Publish research in Nature Physics/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $1M+ in NSF/DARPA grants for advanced quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with superconducting qubit manipulation
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit/Cirq and quantum circuit optimization
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mechanisms
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding
- Experience with cryogenic quantum measurement systems
