Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing systems
- Publish 3+ peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $1M+ in research grants through NSF, DOE, and private partnerships
- Mentor PhD researchers and develop quantum computing curricula for academic institutions
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum breakthroughs
- Drive patent development for proprietary quantum hardware/software innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and error correction techniques
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact quantum research (h-index >20)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfacing
- Demonstrated success securing federal or corporate research grants
- Experience mentoring postdoctoral researchers and academic partnerships
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and scalability challenges
