Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to integrate quantum accelerators into classical computing frameworks
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications and secure federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Optimize quantum circuits for superconducting and photonic hardware platforms
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum solutions in finance and pharmaceuticals
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published work in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM, Google, IonQ)
