Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error mitigation techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science and top-tier quantum conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD fellows in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
