Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptographic applications
- Lead experiments on quantum annealing platforms and superconducting qubits
- Develop error mitigation protocols for quantum coherence challenges
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-enhanced machine learning models
- Publish research in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with IBM Q or Google Quantum AI
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and measurement-based computing
- Publication record in top-tier quantum research journals
- Proficiency in Python, Qiskit, and Cirq frameworks
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Ability to work in cryogenic lab environments (training provided)
