Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical industry applications
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Develop error mitigation protocols for quantum systems operating at near-zero temperatures
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize qubit coherence and gate fidelity
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum computing methodologies and architectures
- Mentor PhD researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Expertise in linear algebra, group theory, and complex analysis
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure $500k+ in research grants or industry partnerships
- Strong track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
