Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications
- Lead experimental research in quantum error correction and coherence optimization
- Develop scalable quantum hardware architectures using superconducting qubits
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and conferences
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype quantum systems
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and simulation tools (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong publication record in quantum information science
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware control
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and noise mitigation
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and microwave engineering
