Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with hardware engineers and software developers
- Publish breakthrough findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with government and industry partners to advance quantum computing standards
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to open-source quantum computing frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field with 3+ years post-graduate research
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit design
- Proven track record of published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ) preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
