Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Develop quantum error-correction codes and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit stability and coherence times
- Lead research on quantum machine learning applications for enterprise solutions
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $1M+ in annual research grants and partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Familiarity with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
- Strong Python/C++ skills with quantum simulation frameworks
- Track record of securing government or corporate research funding
