Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex computational problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and industry conferences
- Collaborate with government agencies on national quantum security initiatives
- Develop roadmaps for quantum computing applications targeting 2026 commercial deployment
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics and computational theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant systems
- Expertise in quantum machine learning algorithms and implementations
- Strong background in superconducting qubit manipulation and control systems
- Experience securing federal research grants and DARPA proposals
