Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional research in quantum machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve qubit stability
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum annealing or superconducting qubits
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes
- Experience securing federal research grants
- Expertise in Python, C++, and low-level system programming
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
