Job Description
Join NexaLabs Quantum Solutions at the forefront of computational revolution. We're pioneering quantum algorithms that will redefine industries by 2026, seeking a visionary Research Scientist to architect the next generation of quantum-resistant systems. This role combines cutting-edge physics, advanced mathematics, and software engineering to solve previously unsolvable challenges in cryptography, material science, and AI optimization.
Our state-of-the-art San Francisco lab offers unparalleled resources for quantum experimentation, including 256-qubit processors and cryogenic computing environments. You'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and MIT/Caltech alumni in an environment that values intellectual curiosity as much as technical excellence.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits using superconducting qubit systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals and IEEE conferences
- Partner with government agencies (DARPA, NSF) on national quantum security initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in research grants through DOE and NIH programs
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with superconducting qubits
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 5 papers)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and custom quantum simulation frameworks
- Security clearance eligibility for classified government projects
- Patent portfolio in quantum cryptography or optimization algorithms
