Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error mitigation protocols for NISQ-era quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating quantum proofs into practical applications
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum systems
- Mentor junior researchers and establish best practices for quantum software development
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Publication record in quantum information science or top-tier CS journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and computational complexity
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Track record of securing competitive research grants
