Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting qubits
- Develop error-correction protocols for quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum acceleration into machine learning models
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure research grants from NSF and DARPA quantum initiatives
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026 graduates encouraged)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum programming frameworks
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM Q, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Expertise in Python/C++ for quantum algorithm development
