Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using IBM Quantum Experience and D-Wave platforms
- Publish groundbreaking research in IEEE Transactions and Nature Quantum journals
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum error correction protocols
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to open-source quantum frameworks
- Secure $2M+ in NSF and DARPA research grants for 2026 initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum circuit design using Qiskit or Cirq
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, AQIS)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation tools
