Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for commercial applications
- Optimize qubit coherence and error correction protocols in superconducting systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into scalable prototypes
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure patents for quantum encryption and machine learning innovations
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve quantum processor architectures
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with superconducting or trapped-ion systems
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (Shor’s, Grover’s, VQE, etc.)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation tools
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or high-energy physics
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum measurement techniques
- Proven ability to secure government or corporate research grants
