Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel quantum error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors
- Publish research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and lead cross-functional innovation sprints
- Secure federal and private research funding for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error mitigation
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
